We are seeking a full time Reconstruction Technician to join our team. This position includes dry walling, Taping, Painting and wall finishing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Dry walling, drywall repair, taping and mud application.
  • Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
  • Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.
  • Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.
  • Clean walls to ensure proper adherence.
  • Minor carpentry (Baseboard detaching, resetting and installation/ Floor Installation)
  • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
  • Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs.
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
  • Erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.
  • Select and buy paint from vendors.
  • Negotiate prices.
  • Purchase quality brushes.
  • Apply several coats according to paint directions.
  • Tape off areas when needed.
  • Apply touch ups or second coats.
  • Remove paint splatters when finished.
  • Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.
  • Utilize spray guns for large jobs.
  • Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls
Requirements:

· Must have a valid and clean driver's license.

· Must be able to pass entrance and periodic drug screening, background checks, and DMV/driving record checks.

· Be available and respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year.

· High school diploma or GED, with emphasis on language comprehension and math computation.

· Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish).

· Basic-level computer literacy.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Background in customer service, retail or military is preferred.

· Basic construction knowledge and understanding of residential home building.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. This position is physically located in central Ohio and no relocation is offered.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
